Russell Brand Live Shame – Audio Review

December 12, 2006 – 7:34 pm | by Peekay

Russell Brand Live ShameRussell Brand is, as the press regularly state, a phenomenon. He has generated a following and a reputation based mainly on his appearances in the papers and their tittle-tattle about his sex-life.

Russell live is actually something special – his style of stand-up is so intriguing and different that you do get captivated very easily, and drawn into his view of the world. And that view is carnal and, as per the title, shaming. Russell does what every good stand-up does – he tells the truth. In this case it is the truth about his life.

But as Russell has become famous, and as more of his life and stories are built around his fame and the people he mingles with, he risks entering a world which his fans get bored with, are dismissive of, or just don’t get.

Russell Brand is a great stand-up, and this show is a small peek at his great control of a stand-up gig. However he can get better, and hopefully he will continue to do so.
