Comedians across Edinburgh are digesting the news of the if.comedy awards shortlist. The winners will be announced on friday, and presented by Hollywood star Christian Slater. The awards shortlist includes:

- Andrew Maxwell for “Waxin’”
- Brendon Burns for “So I Suppose This Is Offensive Now”
- Ivan Brackenbury’s Hospital Radio Roadshow
- Pappy’s Fun Club
The best newcomer shortlist is:
- Jon Richardson for “Spatula Pad”
- Micky Flanagan for “What Chance Change”
- Tom Basden for “Won’t Say Anything”
- Zoe Lyons for “Fight or Flight”
