Tomlinson to have heart bypass
Royle Family star Ricky Tomlinson has been told he needs a quadruple heart bypass, revealed after his routine angioplasty last Friday.
The 68-year-old, who starred as couch potato Jim Royle had the operation last week to unblock his arteries, but the procedure uncovered further blockages.
Tomlinson, also known for Brookside and Cracker, said it was “frustrating” but that he was told it would be in his interests to have the operation.
