Coupling writer hired by Spielberg
Steven Moffat, the writer behind hit comedies Coupling and Press Gang, and recent BBC fare of Jekyll and occasional Doctor Who episodes, has been hired by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson to write scripts for their series of big-budget Hollywood Tintin movies.
Tintin will be Moffat’s first feature film and will be a dramatisation of one of the 23 original comic books. Spielberg and Jackson are each filming one of a trilogy of tales, but it’s not been confirmed who will direct the third or whether Moffat is writing all three.
