An odd combination of Danny Wallace and… Jim Carrey?!

“I, Danny Wallace, being of sound mind and body, do hereby write this manifesto for my life. I swear I will be more open to opportunity. I swear I will live my life taking every available chance. I swear I will say Yes to every favour, request, suggestion and invitation. I SWEAR I WILL SAY YES WHERE ONCE I WOULD HAVE SAID NO.”

For anyone who doesn’t know, that quote relates to the fantastic book ’Yes Man’ by Danny Wallace. Yes Man is the true story of a man who’s spent too much time staying in and saying no to friends. After some sage advice from a stranger on a late night bus to “say yes more” he decides to say ’yes’ to everything for an entire year.

The 2005 book has now started production for a film with the unlikely casting call of Jim Carrey playing Danny Wallace. Other stars include Bradley Cooper (The Wedding Crashers, Alias), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) and Zooey Deschanel. Danny says “The script is very funny, and I’m very pleased with the people joining the film”. Filming will go on until the end of the year and is set for a 2009 release.
