Omid Djalili – No Agenda, Live at the London Palladium DVD review

Omid Djalili may not be much of a household name, at least he wasn’t until the end of 2007. That was the time that Omid reached his biggest audience to date, both with the release of this DVD, but also his weekly BBC1 show on Saturday nights.

Omid has been working as a stand-up for quite a few years now and garnered a great deal of respect from his peers, and those lucky enough to have caught him live. This respect increased exponentially as he dealt head on with the War on Terror, the aftermath of 11th September, and his view as a westernised Iranian.

This DVD shows a masterful comedian near the top of his game. His ability to judge, and then play with, an audience is impressive, as his wide target of comic targets.

The only concern with this release is that like most comics the moment material is used on TV it is essentially dead and can rarely be used again, unfortunately there is a huge amount of material on this DVD that was also on his TV series.

But if you missed that, then get this!
