Herring goes “Oh F*ck…” on tour

January 16, 2008 – 10:00 am | by Peekay

Richard HerringFollowing a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a successful fortnight at London’s Arts Theatre, Richard Herring will take his critically acclaimed stand-up show on tour across the rest of the country this year for the first time.

Just yesterday Herring was 20 years old, wide-eyed and hopeful, embarking on his comedy career. Then he blinked and bang – he’s 40, baggy eyed and cynical and he’s still schlepping round UK arts centres, whilst his contemporaries sit by swimming pools in Hollywood drinking champagne out of jewel encrusted goblets. But depressed and confused as he may be, he turns his mid-life crisis into blistering, riotous and embarrassing tragi-comedy.
