Hamell debuts on West End
Ed Hamell, described as “Bill Hicks, Hunter S Thompson and Joe Strummer all rolled into one”, plays his debut London season, blasting out his unique blend of angry, political music and stand-up comedy at Soho Theatre.
As US election fever builds, take a sideways glance at contemporary America through Ed Hamell’s experience of pizza delivery, drug addiction and fatherhood with the help of his 1937 Gibson guitar.
The show looks at Hamell’s take on terrorism in the widest sense of the word through exploring his life, ranging from memories of road trips with his father, through recollections of the bizarre jobs he held down before his performing career took off, to his recent experience of becoming a parent himself.
