Thomas rides for charity
April 27, 2009 – 10:30 am | by Peekay
Comedian, Author and Activist Mark Thomas has announced that he will once again be doing a sponsored London to Brighton bike ride, and has threatened that if he fails to reach £1,000 in sponsorship he will be releasing pictures of himself in Lycra!
The big day is the 21st of June when Thomas will “set out at 6.00am with the hope of covering the 58 miles without the use of steroids or ending up in a cardiac unit.”
All of Mark’s sponsorship money is this year going to the the PSP Association – PSP, or Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and CBD, or Cortico Basal Degeneration, are degenerative brain diseases and The PSP Association supports both.
Support Mark, the PSP, and the visual cortex of the world by making sure he raises more than £1,000 by donating at his Just Giving page.

This is great comedy sponsorship. I’m liking the imposing threat of Lycra images, and hope he can raise the money. I’m quite curious to see the images personally. Let me set the scene. You’re organising a party, what to do? Hire a comedian? Hire a band? Hire a musician? No. You display a slide show of a man wearing tight Lycra in all sorts of compromising positions. That’s my brother’s birthday sorted then!
